Dorothy TATLOW

Dorothy TATLOW was born in 1904 in Heanor, Derbyshire. She was the first child of Archibald and Florence (nee Millward). By the time of the 1911 census, the family were living in Lower Somercoates, Alfreton and had expanded by two sons, Eric (1907) and Harry Ernest (1910). Two daughter's then followed, Florence in 1912 and Phyliss in 1916.

Dorothy married William DUNNING in 1922 in Shardlow, Derbyshire. They had three children: Zena Dorothy (1923), Gordon William (1924) and Patrick Raymond (1928). At the time of Patrick's birth, the family were living in Basingstoke, Hampshire as William was stationed there as part of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (R.O.A.C).

The 1939 Register records Dorothy and William as living in Nottingham with the three children.

Dorothy and William divorced and Dorothy remarried Wilfred BIRKHAMSHAW in 1953

Dorothy died in Nottinghamshire in 1962.
